Classes

This summer we are doing a trial session to see how much interest there is and what are the preferred times and age groups. I am still quite flexible in my schedule, so if you are interested feel free to give your opinions on what schedule would work best for you. The class groups are small, with 5 spots available per group, so sign up fast to reserve your child's spot!

"What about siblings?"

In addition to the sibling discount (see our rates page), I also understand if you'd rather keep siblings together, especially during the summer session when all of the children are home from school! For the SUMMER SESSION you are welcome to put two siblings in the same class, even if they are different ages. However, keep in mind that the class will still cater to that particular age.

"We are working parents and we can't quite make the start or end time. Can I make it work?"

Yes, I want to help you make it work! I am not a daycare service, but am willing let you drop off your child early, or pick up your child late for a small fee. 2 euro for 30 minutes. 5 euro for 1 hour. Maximum 1 hour before and/or 1 hour after.

18 months - 3 years

Winter and spring session: Wednesday 10:00-11:30

"Mother's Morning Out": English Play Time, ALL morning long!

Friday mornings: 9:00 - 13:00

(If you don't want the full 4 hours, you can pay per hour. Monday is also an option. Contact me to ask about the possibility).

At this early age, children are just learning their mother tongue and how to use all the sounds their parents use. Isn't it confusing to add another language at this stage? Some confusion and mixing may occur, but children tend to thrive on the extra knowledge they are given.

In this class we will sing, play and read using very basic vocabulary that they are just starting to learn in their mother tongue anyway; animals, colours, shapes, weather, etc. We stick to simple themes and just have fun with them.

Ages 3 - 5 ("kleuterschool" age)

Winter Session: Wednesday - 16:00 - 17:00.

Spring Session: Wednesday -16:00 - 17:00

Your child has started school and is learning to speak more and more from kids and teachers all day long. They are absorbing so much so fast, like a sponge. Give them a chance to absorb some English and see how well they do.

At this age we still stick to basic simple themes (animals, colors, shapes, weather, etc.), but we add a little more complexity by adding more variety and more grammar (eg. "I like ...."). The games and actvities are also geared to their abilities, but most important is having fun!

Ages 6 - 8 (1st , 2nd, 3rd grade)

Because of circumstances this group will meet together with the 9-12 year old group.

Winter Session: Wednesday 14:45 - 15:45

Spring Session: Wednesday 14:45 - 15:45 (Subject to change)

At this age children are learning to read and write in school. In addition to adding more mature themes to our lessons (eg. food, house, sports, etc.), we also start to have more fun with the alphabet and numbers in English.

Ages 9 - 12 (4th, 5th, 6th grade)

Because of circumstances this group will meet together with the 6-8 year old group.

Winter Session: Wednesday 14:45 - 15:45

Spring Session: Wednesday 14:45 - 15:45 (Subject to change)

At this age children are learning about more complex topics and grammar in school. In addition to adding more challenging themes to our lessons (eg. places, people/jobs, countries etc.), we also start playing games with more complex sentences in English (eg. "Where do you want to go?").
